Although I wasn't paying a great deal of attention to this button, I'm inclined to say it was lit up in red, however I did think that it remained on until the train stopped. But like I said, I really wasn't paying attention, it may have only flashed for a moment. Though a possible fault referred...
The train was still in motion when my friend pressed this button, we were just pulling into the station so it couldn't have been operated from outside. When she pressed the button it lit up. When the train came to a halt, the doors opened.

Of course it didn't open, but it lit up and opened when the train stopped. Not having much experience on trains I just assumed that if you didn't press the button, the door wouldn't open when the train stopped. My friend's a seasoned traveller and knows what she's doing, I'm just reporting what...
I can't really remember but I don't think it was illuminated at that time.
No, I could only reach the inside button, I only remember there being one button which my friend pressed before we arrived at the station. That button became illuminated at that time but I don't think it did when I...
Hello, please could you clarify your comment, I'm not exactly certain what you mean. My companion pressed the 'open door' button shortly before we arrived at the station, however after we became stuck and I pressed the button again, the doors didn't reopen.

Yes, I tapped that button like mad but nothing happened! The company did mention a possible door fault in their email, though - if they've viewed this on CCTV, they'd be able to see that the doors didn't reopen. I thought it was an excuse since they didn't explain further, but from what you've...
I'm afraid the driver definitely didn't reopen the doors, I had to force myself out from between the doors that were closing on me the whole time. I feel quite certain that this driver had no idea that anything was wrong at all until I spoke to him.
A-driver - thanks for letting me know! I'm surprised that they still have the CCTV footage, I was under the impression they only keep it for a week or so. Anyway, I'm glad the driver is still working, it wasn't my intention to have him suspended or anything - though a customer service course...
Hello, thanks for letting me know about your poor wife, how awful for her! Not exactly sure as to where I might be able to take my complaint since no one was injured, it was just a shock. Horrible driver attitude, but that's just a customer service issue. I plan to leave this alone now, but I'd...
Hello again, have just heard back from FCC this week after almost 2 weeks. Nothing unexpected - apologies on behalf of the company and a suggestion that it was either our fault for attempting to leave after the hustle alarm (circumstances re. door alarm not explained in my original letter) or a...

Re. 'Trapped in train doors' thread
I had no idea what a debate my post would create when I submitted it earlier! It's been a humbling and educational experience and I'd like to thank everyone who replied. Regardless of whether I agreed or disagreed with the members who posted, you can be...
I'm very thankful that so many people have posted that the train would have been unable to move, it's made me think much more calmly and rationally about the whole incident.
And as I mentioned earlier, we were struggling to manoeuvre the heavy buggy over the unusually large gap between the train and the platform after other passengers had already alighted. The alarm sounded and the door closed seconds later. I certainly don't think that the driver intentionally...
