Looks like you have very similar specs to mine, are you running Vista? Are there any other background programs running whilst your playing TS2012?
Either way I don't thinks its the game, well i'm not blaming it in my case just my flagging laptop!!lol
I get the same with it on or off but I think mine is different as it only seems to happen when a large amount of scenery is required (such as stations), my issue I believe is to be around my CPU bottleneck.
Are you running minimum specs for the game?

Which is fair enough and valid point I guess but in my case i've moved all around the uk for work and my home town and family are down that way anyway (watford) so you'd think they'd be happy i'd stay!

If your running Vista, try running the program in compatibility mode, i.e. right click the launch icon and select compatibility, tick the box and run it as compatible with Windows XP SP2, apply, exit and re-launch?....worked for me but that is vista.

It seems if you live more than 5 minuets from the station/depot its a instant no even if you may feel yo have the correct attributes for the roles.
Frustrating.
Maybe the Wrexham to Shropshire may start back up......;-)
