Lumo running train with no toilets

So why should the train driver or conductor care about the passenger’s needs? Not being funny but quid versus quo, surely. 1786652553 This is entirely relevant. Passengers are in uproar about a service without a toilet for several hours, quite rightly so in my opinion. OK to expect a driver...

Lumo running train with no toilets

Unless I’ve overlooked a comment I find it quite ironic that we are 8 pages into a discussion about whether or not it’s acceptable to run a service without working toilets without mentioning on board crew and their needs. Especially when many of the general public don’t take the need for train...

    Heat Related Disruption - 13 Aug 2026

Staff will likely be sitting spare before doing the rest of their booked job. If it is the last part of the job they can go home, as they’ve done what they were booked to do before that part of the job. They won’t be used for anything else.

What about crew hours and personal need breaks? Can you go into a bit more detail as to what you think would work? Are you suggesting taxis from Nottingham to Liverpool and vice versa to get the crews there?

    East Midlands railways industrial action

Am I missing something? It’s a meridian, not a 158. Edited to say I obviously have missed something.

EMR - MD Will Rogers leaves immediately

Confused! Are we talking about someone who has either been sacked or left the company? Or are we talking about a tragic incident 6 weeks ago? Know better, do better.

EMR - MD Will Rogers leaves immediately

I can assure you that great frontline staff have absolutely nothing to do with anyone at the top! (I really do mean anyone!) Please don’t think otherwise! They are purely decent people wanting to do a good job with the poor tools they have. 1785301763 They wouldn’t have enough units for 12 car...

Stratford Fire 10/08 - They Won’t Refund Me!

Do you mean 10th of August or 8th or 10th of July? That might have a bearing on it.

Possible RMT industrial action on Merseyrail, 18-20 July 2026

What a tedious response. People vote to strike to better their terms and conditions. They don’t get paid when they strike. They lose out on their pension contributions. Northern guards took a massive hit when they were on strike a few years ago. I am personally anti strike unless it is health...

BHM - disruption fire on train 10th July 26

Apparently isolating the Auxiliary Control Isolating Cock can cause a burning smell outside the train. I don’t know any more than that though, @357

What Should Be done to Prolific Offenders Who Don't Pay Their Court Fines

Thanks for the explanation. Hadn’t thought of that.

What Should Be done to Prolific Offenders Who Don't Pay Their Court Fines

I agree with the idea that prison may be more attractive to him. How can someone expect a homeless person to stump up over £3,000 realistically when he is most certainly unemployed? Especially when in other areas of the law fines can be based on a proportion of earnings. The consolidated costs...
