According to the chart thing I saw the trainee wage will go from £23, 933 to £24, 711 But it seems that this has not been implemented yet and will be back dated. My payslip still shows £23, 933 as the salary. One driver I worked with still had the previous salary on his payslip too...

I hope they keep it! Apparently it's because Southeastern staff don't currently get it and they are trying to decide whether to make it fair by giving it to them or taking it away from everyone else

We get free travel on London Midland. But you wont be able to use it until you get the permanent one.

I'm not sure how strict they are with the 1 hour thing to be honest. They guys on my course are from Hitchin, Peterborough, March, Reading, Huntingdon, Ickleford etc

I would say for me, apart from the salary and job security. The fact that it's something I enjoy (though I am fairly new), the people I work with and also the fact that every turn is different!

It depends on what you have put down for each. For example, the one about something you have done which is similar to train driving - the only thing I could put was when I used to drive a minibus. I pointed out that it required a lot of concentration and also me having to ignore...

I would say having someone to help you revise also helps. If you get them to ask you questions etc. You can also ask them if they know something (which they mostly likely wont) then explain it to them - I think by telling other people things, it helps you to retain the information yourself...
