And yet RMT put a 3.4% offer to a referendum to GTR staff in November last year with a recommendation of yes. Seeing that makes the bad offer last year even worse.

Well, the email from the RMT yesterday regarding negotiations at TOCs was very negative. Not looking good!

Are these new pay offers for station/on board grades being unpinned with a minimum £ for those on the lowest salary? As outlined as a fundamental point for negotiators from the RMT, anyone know?

No idea what happened here, but… The sheer amount of agency staff on the GTR network is a complete disgrace. Someone is lining their pockets though.

There should be no strings attached on a minimum RPI linked pay offer, sorry! Station teams are not happy with the offer either, but they have an extra string attached. Results will be interesting.

How many TOCs have actually received and accepted the pay offer for 2025?

So you couldn’t produce a valid ticket at the time you were stopped? Penalty fare issued correctly here. Although you said were let through the gates, so you may have grounds for appeal as this could be classed as authority to travel…

What I think they should do is not accept such a poor pay offer compared to what the government has offered/given other sectors for the same year. This is on top of back to back below inflation pay rises for the previous 2 years.

You must present your supporting documentation to an authorised member of rail staff if asked to do so, regardless of reasons for why it may be “annoying”. Many people buy and use discounted tickets without actually having the documents to do so.

What TOC is it? No one on TOCs for frontline or operational grades would of received anything already anyway. Or are you NR?
