the braking of an HST is slightly different to, say a 67 or an 87, in that the brake applies quicker via 2 E70 valves but releases slower via 1 E70 valve, (quote me if i am wrong) that could be why higher speeds when sandwiched between class 43 power cars, cant remember on a pois list if MKIIIs...
