If I cannot get through to them, as a alternative would it help if I emailed them or is phoning them at this point the only way?

Intention of going to Magistrates court

Will do, thank you for your help. I know now it is of no use but would it have been better in my letter to offer meeting their expenses for the time taken and trouble dealing with this matter rather than stating that I was willing to pay a fine? I also came across this number on the first...

Intention of going to Magistrates court

The first letter I received the number stated is 02079229061 and the second letter received today the number stated is 02079224923. Iv rang both multiple times but no answer, is there any other number that I can ring?

Intention of going to Magistrates court

Iv tried ringing multiple times but there is no answer. So should I write to them offering an out of court settlement or would writing to them just make matters worse and in that case should I just wait and go to court and pay a fine there?

Intention of going to Magistrates court

Ah I see, so should I ring them up or should I go to their offices and talk to them in person? Also how have other people settled out of court, is it by talking to them face to face or writing to them. If I were to go to court what would be the likely outcome?

Intention of going to Magistrates court

Yes, as I stated in the previous post all the letter says is that having considered the points in my letter the department will be going forward this case and summons to attend the magistrates court will be sent in due course. There is no mention of any legislation or anything else, and...

Intention of going to Magistrates court

I received the first letter on the 11th Feb stated that my details were taken on the day of the incident and that it was their intention to take this case to the magistrates court. They also enclosed a form in which I was able to state what happened which I did. I then received a letter...

Intention of going to Magistrates court

Yes at that point I was working at a solicitors in Hayes for about 2 weeks and was taking the 9.08 train. Usually I would get there 5mins early so I would always tap in, but in this instance I just ran for the train. Looking back I should have as you said but in my mind I needed to get the train...

Intention of going to Magistrates court

Yh but also I had sufficient funds in my oyster card, I realised that I had not tapped in once I was on the train but at that point there was nothing I could do, I admitted to the inspector that I didn't tap in right away. I admit iv done wrong, but is there any procedure of an out of court...

Intention of going to Magistrates court

There is nothing in either letter referring to any legislation so I'm not sure where I stand but I'm pretty sure its because I did not tap in. The inspector seemed okay at the time, he just asked for my details and he said First capitol would now decide what to do. How would I go about...

Intention of going to Magistrates court

Hello to all, I would be grateful for some advice and perhaps the likelihood of what may happen. I got stopped at Hayes station travelling from Southall Station (which is one stop) because I got forgot to tap in my oyster card. You see there are no barriers so I ran straight on to the platform...
