Usage of Thameslink to cross London when not specified as part of the itinerary?

Fantastic - thank you everyone for quickly confirming! I'm glad I wasn't in the wrong, but it's still unsettling to be told that you're at risk of being fined. I'll put a complaint in with GTR and see what they come back with - and i'll update this thread when they do too.

Usage of Thameslink to cross London when not specified as part of the itinerary?

I wouldn't quite describe it as a Maltese Cross, but it certainly has a cross on it. The route was "✝ Specified LNER trains & connecting services". I did point out the cross to the member of gateline staff, and they were still insistent that I had to take the tube if it wasn't part of the...

Usage of Thameslink to cross London when not specified as part of the itinerary?

I periodically travel for work between Tonbridge and York. When booking through my employer's booking portal and selecting Advance fares, sometimes i'm offered an itinerary that explicitly has a counted place reservation on Thameslink for the cross-London transfer, and sometimes I am not...

    Non-Urgent TOPS Requests

Can anyone tell me what worked 2W50 1458 Dover Priory to London Charing Cross on Monday the 4th of September? I know the front unit after attachments at Ashford was 375917, but I didn't catch the rear two unfortunately. Thanks in advance!

    December 2022 Timetable Changes

Some interesting changes to Maidstone East services. The handful of recently introduced Blackfriars services go and are replaced with... an all-day service to Charing Cross. Timings when they join the South Eastern Mainline at Chislehurst seems a little bit tight though - they're timed to pass...

    Southeastern Maidstone - Blackfriars 2022.

This was mentioned at a recent stakeholder meeting, but reception was somewhat lukewarm - with just 3 return paths and only at weekday off-peak times. The argument Southeastern put forward was that they wanted to test things away from busy periods before a potential increase. However, there were...

    Southeastern Maidstone - Blackfriars 2022.

Unfortunately, weekday truncation at Paddock Wood has been the norm since the September 2020 timetable change - aside from a few early morning, late night and schools trains. This is a regression from the existing timetable, and was allegedly done for performance and reliability reasons despite...
