Agree. Shows Lothian, Stagecoach and McGill's all in one place (for Queensferry Road).

Has there been a permanent change in the allocation of vehicles to service 47 and 47B? Similarly to last week, only 4 of the 11 tracking this morning are XLBs. Previously it was more or less 100% XLBs.

According to the online timetables, there are currently six return workings between St Andrew's House and Barnton in the course of the day. It would be good to see some of these retained outwith Festival time. Strange to have LC buses not leaving City limits. And then there's the X47 from...

Tell that to the residents, particularly the elderly, in Cramond and D Mains, who want to go 'into town' (ie not be left stuck at Queensferry Street as the 47 heads up Lothian Road), and vice versa, and I doubt you'll get a single person to agree with you.

Apologies if I've missed it, but I haven't seen an explanation on this blog as to why deliveries of the BZLs have been so long delayed. There was a suggestion some months ago that they hadn't been built to spec. Also, why are some having to go to Ferrymill on delivery?

Perhaps the 41 has fallen victim to the City Mobility Plan which aims to remove buses from George Street by 2025. No convenient alternative route for 41 to access the Mound. The Festival-time diversion via Frederick St, Queen St and Hanover St not practicable.

That works both ways. I can see problems for passengers on Q'ferry Road, City bound, getting on to full 43 services. Pre pandemic, a morning rush part route 41 from Barnton to Surgeons Hall was required.

856 on service 124 today. It's the Macmillan bus, so at least it's green. 317 on the 43s, and it's not!

The 41s seem to be particularly blessed(?) with a number of the ex Londons with the Armagh plates. Speaking to a driver on a sardine-packed service his comments were: 'Not good at all. Short and slow'. How many seats are they short of the standard BT9Ls?
