Hello,
Now that CrossCountry are allowing all there seats to be reserved (as per before COVID), are there any plans to allow the seat selector on TrainSplit to be able to select these. It appears that you can only select from the much smaller number of window seats that were reservable during...
The 14/12 is the last day of the current timetable, so it may be due to finalising things due to the timetable change. I seem to remember a thread a while back regarding Chiltern being very late opening advance tickets when there was a timetable change.
However, some advance tickets do appear...
Hi All
Just wondering if anyone can give me a bit of advice regarding either delay repay/refunds and what I am entitled to and who I should claim from.
I was travelling from Birmingham-Huddersfield for a day trip. I booked the following:
Birmingham-Derby Advance Singles in each direction...
Thanks for your help and advise with this. I have looked at this again and there are currently rail replacement buses at the destination station. If I try to use this route when there is no engineering, it doesn't allow it, which suggests it may be temporary. I cannot see anywhere that says that...
Unfortunately, I cannot get reservations as it says 'Reservation not possible'. The ticket type in question is an Off-Peak Day Return and the route I am taking involves two changes. I think I may get questioned by a guard as for example, the Off-Peak Day Return between the two stations on the...
Ok Thanks. The reason why I ask is that I have noticed something unusual that appears on both National Rail Enquires and the TOC's own website. The routing guide seems to imply that the ticket I want to use will not be valid for my route, however, I can get it show in the journey planners on...
Hi All
I understand that the routing guide can be used to determine valid routes for tickets that show route or are described as Any Permitted.
If you have a ticket routed as 'Not Via location'. How do you work out the valid routes for these?
Many Thanks
Kel
I have just noticed the following page on the Virgin Trains website:
https://www.virgintrains.co.uk/travel-updates/timetables
It is explaining what dates are affected by timetable changes and hence advance tickets will not be available until a later date as the timetables will be published...
Hi All
I understand that these only include a single journey on the underground, but can you:
(a) with a ticket to Underground Zones 1-2, where your train arrives at Euston, can you walk to Euston Square to then do your single journey or must you enter the underground at Euston?
The reason why...
Hi, I was wondering if someone can provide clarification as to the boundaries of a Plusbus ticket in metropolitan areas. I give a couple of examples:
Stockport Plusbus: http://www.plusbus.info/stockport
At the top of the page it says:
When you click on the word zone in the quoted...
Hi
I was looking at a ticket with restriction code SK as shown http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/SK
It says that break of journey is not allowed for outward travel, but above it, it says applicable days are Monday-Friday.
My question is therefore, can you break your journey on the outward...
Hi
If want to purchase a TOC+Connections Advance ticket. The 'connection' part of the journey has a mixture of reservable and unreservable services.
If I want a bit of flexibility and book so that I do not get a reservation, can I only use it on unreservable services or can I use it on any...
Hi
I want to purchase a VTWC & Connections advance ticket and am considering options. The connecting train will be a train I get before the VTWC service. I understand that if my WTWC train gets cancelled, I have to wait for the next WTWC train, but I'm a bit confused about what happens if the...
Hi
I am going to London for a day trip next month. I want to use contactless with daily capping. Do I have to select anywhere that I want daily capping (as opposed to weekly)?
Thanks
