What's a balancing move?
If they needed to regularly get a unit back to Longsight, I'm surprised they'd cut this service short, as it's popular with commuters needing to be in Manchester for 9:00.
Does anyone know why the 0422 GLC-MIA (1M90) is terminating at Preston and continuing to Piccadilly out of passenger service? It shows up on the TPE website as 'engineering work', at least until 23/10. I suspect the train is going to Longsight from Piccadilly, though unless I've missed...
I was roughly grouping by tickets presented to automatic ticket gates vs tickets inserted into ticket gates. I was thinking about the new ITSO season tickets, and forgot about paper season tickets. How do auto ticket gates handle paper season tickets?
Hi, Does anyone know if there is any data available for the proportion of passengers who use the orange CCST (credit card sized tickets) vs those who use e-tickets (paper roll included) and m-tickets, and those who use season tickets? If so, where could I find this data? Even better if this data...
1M93 today is 397005 - TPE JourneyCheck states "this service will be formed of 4 coaches instead of 5 coaches due to more trains than usual needing repair". Was therefore surprised to see a 397 turn up.
There are certainly issues with slowing down the ticket inspection process, and trusting logging into the guard's phone. Imagine if there was a TVM/Kiosk onboard the train! That said, we've come back full circle, as the train could have had charging facilities instead.
You raise an interesting point here. What if there was some kind of system, where in the case that your phone runs out of battery, you could login to your account with email address and pin number (not password) on the guard's phone, which would bring up your ticket. Maybe require ID with your...
I bought an advanced single back in November, and had the same watermark on the 'print at home' ticket. Did bring it up with the WhatsApp team that they ought to get that sorted. I can imagine a conductor/revenue looking at that and thinking it's a fraudulent ticket. Mind you, they're probably...
I believe there are 6 diagrams that aren't Nova yet, and 6 350s still with TPE. Unless they're holding 1 for maintenance, shouldn't be any 185s on the route.
Is it likely TPE will gradually introduce 397 diagrams in the lead up to April, or all diagrams in one go once time is up for the 350s?
To my knowledge mTickets are the type that are only available in the TOC's own app. You usually see them with the 3 colour bar with the time scrolling along it.
eTickets on the other hand are PDF tickets that get emailed to you, and you can either print them or just show the email on your phone.
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
