Result! I have received a nice letter from SWT apologising that guard did not give the railcard discount, and enclosing £10 worth of vouchers. My son and I are very pleased with this.

PS on checking with SWT there was no option for free 1st class delivery because it was too close to the travel date, you have to book at least 5 days in advance for this option to be displayed.

Yes it was about my son being refused 16-25 railcard discount when he boarded the train with no ticket because the machine had been vandalised.
