I once had a very cheery conducter on a Cross Country train coming down from Newcastle. Can't remember all the things he said but something about the roof terrace being closed and that unicycling was not permitted where mentioned.

Leeds Train Station may not be that far from Elland Road (2 Miles) and Cottingley may only be 1.5 miles from the ground, but considering the railway is only 350m from the stadium at its closest point, its not the most convenient ground in the world.

I would possibly say Hull Paragon has too many platforms. Platform 1 has been out of use and been used a stabling for years now, which means the station technically has 6 platforms, but I don't think it really needs that many when on average only 10 trains go to the station per hour.

If there going with red branding then it shouldn't take much work to get rid of all the Virgin logo's. Luckily the change has probably come just in time so they can make sure all the new class 800's are properly branded before use at the end of the year

I honestly can't see why Hull is so low in the list. It's a easy to navigate, realtivly nice looking station right next to the city centre. The survey wasn't based on the destinations of the station (which would probably be a reason for hull to lose some points), so it puzzles me to see it so low.

Today I saw a ScotRail 158 being used for the 1544 Hull to Bridlington service. Seems like Northern is having to borrow trains again. Has anyone else ever seen a ToC's train in a location not normally served by that ToC?
