One of the ticket machines at Dalston Junction has a button which let's you change the date up to 3 or 4 weeks into the future. The other machines don't have this button so maybe this is a new feature?
Thanks everyone. The ticket guy at Finchley road and frognal did it in a few seconds. I just had to show him my oyster and railcard and he did it straight away. I can't be the only one who had no idea about this though. It was only because I saw the flyer in the window. Justin

I was going to go from Leytonstone High Road and change onto c2c at Barking. I can get the ticket from the machines at Leytonstone H road, I checked and they are there from zones 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. But not zone 1.
