if you have a playstaion 4 get a game called super star dust, on the day when you're doing the test dont go straight to the starting point when doing the practice exercise, stay off it and get used to the controls. As the other guys above have the controls are quite sensitive, but i reckon...
Thanks for the replies. My mind is at ease now not worrying about it too much now. but as mention it was only a shot, it's not link I went on a binge and got totalled or drank the night before the medical. But I appreciate the responses.I notice some people on here saying what the do before...
Thanks Bromley boy you've put my mind at ease, somewhat. Chooochooo that's exactly how I am, I always do things logically and always think before I act, for the life of me I don't know why I took the shot but regretted it instantly. Done and gone now nothing i can do about it other than get the...
Thanks for the replies, was just worrying that I might have dug my own grave by my drinking levels leading up to the medical. Would have preferred the piece of mind knowing that I didn't drink but it is what it is. Chooochooo come on in think anyone that is pursuing a career as a driver cares...
Hi, Was wondering what alcohol levels they check for in the medical?
Reason why I asked is that I have a medical tomorrow but I drank a shot of whisky with coke lastnight. Was wondering if that was enough for me to fail the alcohol and drugs test? Before that was partying all week nonstop as I...
thanks for the replies, really appreciate it. been creating alot of examples for some of the questions others on here have said they've been asked. so there is nothing wrong with giving a long example if it's communicated clearly and is relevant to the question being asked.
Funnily enough everything you just mentioned is the reason why I think it's a similar role. There's obviously going to be some difference but just because you're carrying more passengers doesn't mean that the responsibility is less on bus drivers.the shift pattern is the same and I'd even say...
Tbh I really don't believe people on here that say they aren't going for it because of the money. For me that is one of the main attractions in trying for the role but I wouldn't dare say that in a interview. being a bus in London on about 35k for the year I see train driving as the next step...
The way how they advertised the position was abit weird imo. Personally I thought they only wanted the 5 questions in the cover letter. all I did was a little intro to who I was, answered the 5 question and a yours faithfully with my name.
Got the 25% discount email aswell. While I'm disappointed have to keep a realistic view on the situation and realise to be picked for one of these positions was a long shot. Good luck to the guys that are still left in the process. Hope you guys keep us updated.
