travel down 27/2 on an advance standard single at 13:10 for £14
return 28/2 on an offpeak first class at 20:18 for £35.95
if i miss the 20:18 i can then catch any later virgin train

so an advanced ticket going down and an 'offpeak' single coming back, we can then jump on any train if we miss the 19:18
what about if i book first class on the offpeak single and i book a seat
i assume that if i miss the 19:18 and jump on the 19:38...
