There is a massive thread about MTR Trainee Train Drivers here: https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/mtr-crossrail-trainee-driver-multiple-locations.167623/
Have a look
Did you tried on a working day?
Because if you called yesterday (Saturday) and today(Sunday) there wouldn't be no answer as they work Monday do Friday on HR.
Completely agree. When I've been told that managers and colleagues were nice and helpful, I was kind of sceptical. But at the end it proved to be true, people are really nice.
Even the MD came on our first day to introduce himself and talk about the company.
I can't talk about the other groups...
Quick question, when did you receive the information about your first day, not the starting day, but the time and where... I'm due to start in 7th Jan, but since my uniform fitting there was no contact at all.
Still 3 weeks to go, I know, but with Christmas and New Year in between... Lol
So you probably had your DMI in August right? When it was?
I'm trying to find the people that did the MMI with me at 21/08, we did the first and second assessments all together, we all passed the MMI but I don't know if they made it on the DMI.
Congratulations and Good luck tomorrow.
Which company did you apply?
First time that I see someone mentioning DMI before any assessment.
I heard that some does is in between, after the paper assessments and before the computer/MMI.
I would say that is like you taking something as guaranteed as it always happens as per your knowledge. But you can't be sure as you don't know all the facts.
I see the question as: Do you prefer to spend time checking all the facts or just make a quick decision based on what you know about...
For this position? The one that opened at July/18?
Because it seems that everyone so far has received their results at the same day. At least was one of the best things of this process with MTR, apart from DMI, you received the assessment results straight away.
They will tell you about the MMI at the same day.
You do the computer tests, they mark it, then they do the MMI and mark it as well.
You will leave the assessment knowing if you passed or not. About the DMI depends on MTR schedule, OPC won't be able to tell you. Neither us actually. You can...
I don't know the class size, but it looks like that we have a big chunk of it here.
Anyone of you had your medical? What to expect? Just the usual colour blindness, eyesight , drugs and alcohol or something else?
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
