I live about 20m from a line. Most things passing are the T&W metro services so you can barely hear it. But you do hear the lovely 142s passing and the Grand Central trains. And every so often a nice freight train :D

Did that on the paris metro once, automatic door almost took my arm off.

Thats a nice photo of 140001, the whole photo is really quite atmospheric :) And looking at other photos on his flickr stream its so odd to see Sunderland station with natural light haha! I only remember it being brick wall with bird poo on, much like now really haha

Being only 18 I only have very vague memories of using heavy rail from seaburn before my Mam got a car. It would be nice if any of you guys have photos of seaburn station before it was all 'metroed' to share!

I'm currently on the 1730 east coast service from Edinburgh. It is going to terminate at Newcastle. I was meant to be on the 1705 xcountry to Birmingham but thankfully I'm only going to Newcastle.

Apparently the viaduct has been blocked off. No idea how, who by or what for. Any ideas?
