Unfortunately, the B10BLEs will be removed not long after the B7Ls are retired. In terms of reliability, the B10s will live on a little longer.
Not sure what's happening with stock for the 77 but I know it's getting a new branding sometime in the future.
5th Dec I don't think would be likely as they have only had 3/4 delivered so far. Normally after launch they are out next day. Unless they are launching them on the 5th and putting the buses out as they arrive.
I believe there is still another 2 or 3 buses to arrive as I was told it requires 21 to run but that means First have ordered more than 75 vehicles unless the 34/34a is not receiving 16 vehicles.
34 I heard was suppose to be 17th this month. Not sure if they are being officially launched or...
Looking at the numbers there appears to be 3 extra vehicles.
Vehicles Ordered for 2018: 75
Service 75: 22
Service 18: 18 (a few still to arrive)
Service: 65: 4
Service 241: 12
Service 34/34A: 16
Total: 72 (3 left over)
67021 at Blantyre to be stickered up for 242 supposedly. If so then ADL must be ahead of schedule with their order as these vehicles were suppose to arrive next year unless not all will arrive this year.
thanks for info
Streetlites to run on 242 until Feb/March next year when the E200s arrive for it
Yes they will be painted into new livery before going to Overtown.
Service 34 is the next to get new vehicles and are meant to be in service by end of Dec
241 is currently 15mins for the full route and 7/8mins from Motherwell-North Motherwell. New timetable will see buses serve the full route every 10mins.
Currently 2 at Caley and another 2 at Falkirk due for delivery (These 2 are branded). From what I heard the plan is for the B10s to be moved...
Overtown doesn't have any E300s so I am guessing you have probably seen them on a Sunday service only. Also the 241 does get busy from time to time just like any route. 10.8m is the perfect size for this route
All the incoming E200s will be 10.8m (for service 241) which I said on the 30th...
B7L's - Glasgow still has around 25-30 of these in service (Mostly if not all at Caley Depot)
B10BLE's - Overtown has about 15-17 still in service, Blantyre has 4 or 5, Dumbarton has at least 4 and maybe 1 or 2 at another depot.
B10BLE's in Lanarkshire will start to be withdrawn this month when...
I guess that the B7s will be out of Glasgow within the next few years and transferred elsewhere due to LEZ. I remember fine well when Glasgow got their 05 plate darts and that was the same story .... the B10s will outlast them etc etc. The 05 plate darts to this day are still great buses and...
