On the morning journey and the out on the way back?
That made me chuckle, we call him Sven in my family too, I used to get the train most morning when I used to commute from Mobberley and there are not many things he does not know about that line.
Are you a member of the Mid Cheshire Rail Users Association, I know they monitor the services and spend a quite a good deal of effort trying to improve the service that the line gets.
If it had stayed under £90 I would have been tempted to go for the Train Card over my Davenport - Manchester CTRLZ monthlies, but the extra £11.70 a month is not worth it as you get the same coverage at the weekends on the ticket I have.

Thanks for the replies. I just wonder how many people who are travelling into Manchester for shopping do not think about keeping it until its too late.
Good Afternoon
This is a great forum, I have been reading it for a few months and finally got my self in gear to register.
Anyway to my question, I travel to Manchester Piccadilly everyday from Stockport and on arrival in Manchester there are Nothern Revenue Protection Teams covering the...
Worst for me was not the journey or the bus but the amount of time it went on for.
Back in the Summer of 2004 when the WCML was having alot of work for a month or so Stockport Station was closed and I at the time commuted from Mobberley to Stockport on the Mid Cheshire Line. So a replacement...
