Why? Absolutely no need. The 380’s do a great job. They should standardise all routes with one fleet, maybe two if required. Look at Inverclyde for example? The 380’s could also, or maybe mostly, cover that also rather that four different units. The 318’s for example are really tired now and...
The 380s are doing a great job on the Ayrshire. The Inverclyde really needs sorting as said above. There’s five different traction’s on the Inverclyde, 314, 318, 320, 380 and 385. Bit of a mess in my opinion. Ideally should be 380 or 385. The 380s and 385s aren’t really suited to the Cathcart.
