Hi Julie,
Which location have you applied for? The reason I ask is they are turning people away who have passed the assessments in some cases due to being oversubscribed so it seems strange they are still interviewing.
I'd give my left bollock for a go at depot driving.
Equally I'd spare my right one for a go at Mainline.
After various jobs and careers away from the railway I can honestly say that whatever I was doing, being it removing **** and **** from the toilet in sleet and snow in the middle of...
I got an email advising that due to a change in business requirements the position is no longer available. So I would guess filled internally.
Back to the drawing board.
Ridiculous? How so?
It's a discussion, a forum, a question.
I would drive anything given the chance and if I'm honest depot driving may appeal more than a mainline role, certainly for now, for me.

If you get referred to the course by an agency chances are you will be funding it yourself and as far as I...
Many say it's driving for Eurostar.
Is it driving the Royal train? Is it driving the the 'mail train'?
Is it doing the Settle Carlisle, the Forth Bridge, the Welsh Highlands or the Night Riviera?
Anyone done any of these as a Driver?
What are peoples thought's on the pinnacle of...
I am yet to go through any interview with a TOC nor have I conducted one.
However I have previously been a hiring manager and conducted at least 300 competency based interviews . . . in all of those I can clearly remember only one person who referred to the notes they have brought in to...
Interesting . . . I have just completed a course in how to command a Nuclear Submarine as I was hoping my local Bus Company would see the benefit in taking me on as a Trainee Bus Driver and this would make my application stand out
