I always understood that tfl got all the revenue from their stations but chiltern get to use the tracks for free .... not sure if thats still correct

I cant see any line closing, the protests would be large from the affected areas! Maybe terminate the Met at Rickmansworth and longer chiltern trains, terminate piccadilly at Rayners Lane, h&c at whitechapel. Richmond branch of the district could maybe go. Hainault to woodford back to rush hours...

Is that something to do with the bend in the platform rather than the length ? As a former Ricky resident it is annoying that some trains stop at Chorleywood which is a much smaller place and not Ricky!

London Bridge - London Victoria is still missing too.

I am suprised they are not just diverting that train via peckham rye to save on the reversal!

Maybe liverpool street - shenfield, always busy, often jam packed!

Maybe something like Rochdale -Manchester Victoria - hartford - winsford - nuneaton - euston could work ?

Overground stations offer ticket on departure but underground do not.

I guess the Inverness and Aberdeen trains go that way so they don't have to reverse.

Hi, I have been told they don't do seat reservations on London - Norwich trains any more, can anyone confirm that ? Presumably this came in with the new stock ?

You could try booking to Nuneaton on London Midland (maybe splitting at crewe) and get the local train from there

The quickest trains from Edinburgh - London on those weekends are the avanti ones to Euston. Can change at Crewe for a journey time of just over 5 hours.
