I am the same. In my wheelchair, I am too tall to fit into a London Black Cab. Given enough time, I might be able to slowly work my way into one of the new electric ones, and have a few centimetres clearance from the roof once I'm in, but I fear going over a large bump could force my head into...
On 1C80 and 1A97, when they're 802 (2x5), does anyone know if the restaurant car is usually in the front 5 or the back 5? Or do they have Pullman dining in both? I'm thinking maybe I can try to make sure I'm in the right section based on coach and seat number. Looks like coach E would be the...
Thanks again. According to the people I spoke with at both assistance booking and customer support at GWR, their systems still show all of them as HST for 12 March and a few other days around then, so I don't think I can officially book the wheelchair accessible space for Pullman Dining. Maybe...
Thanks a lot. I'll give them a call and see if it's updated on their system for 11th - 15th.
How about these three in the other direction? Are some of them HST for that week too?
1A85 1000 Penzance to London Paddington
1A87 1255 Plymouth to London Paddington
1A97 1600 Penzance to London Paddington
I was trying to find a wheelchair accessible Pullman Dining train from Paddington and when I called GWR's assistance booking line to try to book a wheelchair space, the four services below were all showing up as HST for 11th - 15th March. Has everything on that route reverted to HST, or is there...
Thanks again. It's interesting that the 5 car units don't seem to have standard class wheelchair spaces, so even with a standard class ticket, wheelchairs have to be in the first class section. I guess that may or may not be the Pullman dining car on a 10 car.
Thanks a lot.
Is it possible to tell if it will be 5, 9 or 10 car in advance? From the seating plan on the GWR site, it looks like 5 or 10 car would have more Pullman seats. I saw 9 car for 1C80 on tiger, but an earlier post mentioned it was showing up as 10 car.
Also, any idea when more of...
I'm interested in trying the lunch or dinner Pullman dining on GWR. I use a wheelchair which usually won't fit through the narrow door into an HST first class section, so I'm limited to IET. I'm trying to figure out which of GWRs non-breakfast Pullman dining trains are IET.
I looked at this...
