Saw 195103 trundle through Wakefield Westgate at around 7:40am today. Looked to be on test, no internal lights on, heading south. Hopefully they will start running the Sheffield services soon - anyone know when they are going to enter services on this side of the Pennines?

Saw 331105 at Wakefield Westgate this morning. Looked really nice, but a 2+2 layout of seating with an awful lot of tables does not really seem appropriate for this train”s proposed commuter lines (ie. Doncaster to Leeds) - do they all have this layout?

I think I just saw three Class 56s pulling about 4 mk2 or 3 coaches (in weathered InterCity livery) plus an extra Class 56 at the rear pass through Shipley station - was this convoy part of this?

What is the average turnaround time to refurbish a train? 8 weeks or so? It’s going to be an awful winter of commuting with so many trains being refitted.

When I get into Leeds at around 5pm on a weekday, there are usually 2 Class 170s parked up on platform 1 and 2. Why would they not want to run this rolling stock? The Sheffield line is in desperate need of some decent rolling stock.
