Firstly: I think your answer is here: https://www.gov.uk/government/policies/expanding-and-improving-the-rail-network/supporting-pages/the-intercity-express-programme Personally though, I don't know why they don't just start upgrading the ECML to High Speed (I mean very high speed), and forget...

Hull Station is a disgrace says councillor

Personally, the first time I went the to the Paragon, I found it really pretty easy to navigate. I don't think it needs much in the way of signs - its got a very simple easy to figure out layout.

    Crosscountry Voyager Refurbishments?

I have witnessed that on some of EMTs Meridians! Its pretty bad, but it surprises me its a problem with EMT, as they maintain their own Meridians at Etches Park, doing a damn site better job from I have seen than Central Rivers.

Why were traditional rails chosen over maglev?

I was wondering about that! I fail to see MagLev will in practice provide any substantial benefits to be honest! To be honest, I can imagine in time a hybrid rail/MagLev system, that would make sense to me, thing is, you could also use the motor system of which I can't think of the name of, and...

Southeastern worker let untrained friend dispatch trains

To be honest, from what I can see safe despatch is more common sense and care than anything, although I think this incident should not have happened, I am not thinking oh, this was really dangerous, and questioning rail safety either. Its clear the sacked employer did train his employee well...

    Rail 'gourmet' not taking cards

Anyone know why Rail Gourmet don't take cards at least on the service I am on? On an EMT service to STP, wanted to buy a drink but the trolley wouldn't take cards, which strikes me as stupid tbf!

Seeking advice, looking for jobs preferably with EMT

I did request feedback, the guy who I contacted basically said he'd have to speak to the managers as he did not do the scoring, didn't hear back with any feedback :-(

    ScotRail Facebook - stranded teenager

This is bad, I do feel train companies should be under an obligation to accept Solo (if that still exists?) and Visa Electron, especially when they are on lines with in more isolated areas and even more so ones with without ticket offices. I feel sorry for the girl tbh, from what I can see. The...
