First South West (Kernow & Buses of Somerset)

It was back out on a round of route 2 this evening - private photo on Facebook again of it at The Hard / evidence on BusTimes. Hopefully, all is well!

First South West (Kernow & Buses of Somerset)

Probably the wrong thread (as it is now a First Solent bus) but 44951 entered service from Hilsea depot today on route 22, in full Kernow Green with an old pink f symbol on the front. Source - private photo on Facebook

First South West (Kernow & Buses of Somerset)

According to BusTimes, 44951 has moved up to First Solent. I do not yet have confirmation of it arriving at Hilsea or Hoeford.

First South West (Kernow & Buses of Somerset)

Reported by a ‘usually reliable source’ on the First Hants & Dorset forum, along with separate intel on the Provincial Society Facebook page, that 44951 and 44952 (WK18BVB/C) are going to Hilsea depot to replace the two mini Enviro200s 44916/7 on tendered route 22, which requires small buses...

    Go Cornwall Bus

I appreciate and agree with your point - but it is interesting that, later in the book, the 41 gets its own timetable all to itself, where the T1 and T2 do not. One would imagine that, if there is a need to post an individual route 41 timetable, there is a need to show an individual T1 / T2...

First South West (Kernow & Buses of Somerset)

Optare Solo SRs 53860 and 53861 (WK68BSO / BSU respectively) have been transferred to First Cymru. There are photos on Flickr (Barrie Gilbert’s photostream) with 53861 (in Kernow green) seemingly at Bridgend at the mo and 53860 (in Scotland East livery) at Port Talbot.

    Go Cornwall Bus

It appears that Plymouth Citybus have added three significant routes of note since their original upload: certainly, I did not note the following three routes the first time that I read the update. Transport for Cornwall Service Updates - 31st August 2025 Route 32 - Truro to Falmouth...

First South West (Kernow & Buses of Somerset)

Off-topic for this thread, but re: 44916/7 at in Hampshire. The tendered route 22 passes through housing estates with many cars parked on the roads and some narrow turns. The Solos have been tried in the past, but they are not favoured by the drivers at Hilsea due to their front wheel...

First Solent discussion (Portsmouth, Fareham and Gosport)

Thank you very much - one would potentially imagine it is for that month long closure. I seem to remember First’s ‘base’ or outstation was at Amazon World last time in 2021.

First Solent discussion (Portsmouth, Fareham and Gosport)

Hi all, In the latest notices and proceedings… Any ideas? Island Line isn’t due to be shut any time soon (except planned work on the pier, which will close it for a number of months, but a half hourly train service is still running…)

    Go South Coast

Is it this one? Go South Coast swapped 1632 (Unibus grey/lilac), 1633 (BlueStar colours now) and 1634 (pictured above) with the higher spec 1683, 1684, 1685 when they increased the Bournemouth route 13/13A recently; I think this when they swapped over. More details post #487 for this thread...

    Go South Coast

Hello there, I am not sure how many routes were organised to be on the blinds - potentially all of them? - but the 14 to Hedge End is certainly one of those - see here with DOE32 in October: I did wonder if, to enable easy fleet transfers, if all the blinds were made with a specific list...

    Go Cornwall Bus

This is a little confusing, as Go Cornwall Bus removed the stop this summer with all 25s and their tendered 24 journeys serving the loop at Readymoney Cove car park, whereas First continue to serve Safe Harbour with their 24s… perhaps the council are proposing its removal rather than a specific...

Xelabus Discussion (including Yellow Coaches and Eastleigh/Hampshire operations)

As far as I am aware, the two were delivered SK72CWJ AND SK72CWL, with both planned to become GB72XEL and PB72XEL respectively. My source is someone who posted a photo of both of them at Barton Park on the First Hants & Dorset forum (separate to this site) last nigh which both carried the former...

Xelabus Discussion (including Yellow Coaches and Eastleigh/Hampshire operations)

SK72CWJ, still with the registration on arrival, is in service in Portsmouth today on the Cruise Ship shuttles. I managed to capture it on camera along Queen St earlier this morning, completely by accident!
