Bus Fare Cap will be £2 from January

From personal experience, since the fare cap was introduced a couple of years ago, I am more likely to get the bus from Hinckley into Nuneaton as it is cheaper than parking the car at the railway station. Also being a 15 minute frequency with Stagecoach Route 148 as well as Arriva Route 158 is...

First Trip With Lumo West Coast From Nuneaton To London Euston. 07/07/26.

So, on a nice sunny day I decided on the spur of the moment to take a ride on one of Lumo's services from Nuneaton to London Euston. Having booked my ticket via the Lumo app a couple of hours before departure, I headed off for the bus from Hinckley to Nuneaton (cheaper than parking the car...

    999 Response to Bedford Accident.

MODERATORS. If you feel there's a more suitable category for this post, then please transfer it over. Chris Martin EMS - who has quite a good YouTube channel - was one of the emergency service personnel who responded to the accident near Bedford on 19th June 2026. Having watched the video...

Trivia: Greatest diversity in stock used for one service.

Back in Central Trains days, my local line seen Classes 150/153/156/158/170 and even different combinations in some instances. 170's were more common on the Coventry - Nottingham services on a weekday though.

Report of Partial Bridge Collapse WCML 11/6

I go that way to see my Mum in Bedworth, and I have seen those 8x4 tipper trucks go over it. There is a small industrial estate too along Marston Lane.

Report of Partial Bridge Collapse WCML 11/6

I agree 100%, but with the WCML being a fast route, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to have them on bridges like this too. Just my opinion of course

Report of Partial Bridge Collapse WCML 11/6

Surprises me that Marston Lane doesn't have this. Considering that the A5 at Hinckley has girders either side for a line which isn't as busy (I think the line speed is 80mph over it). Also, I believe the company that the lorry is from has been identified too.

Post and subsequent photo from Bedworth Community Forum suggests a hit and run.

Are LNR services authorised to skip Nuneaton if delayed?

Happened a few months ago, we all got kicked off at Rugby as the service was to run fast to Crewe to make up time. We were about 30 mins late and the next one was on time :D

TRIVIA: Junctions where the branch is straight-on, and the main is around the corner

Kingsbury Junction. Coming from Tamworth, straight on is the branch to Whitacre Junction, whilst the mainline branches right towards Water Orton. Of course I know the line to Whitacre was the original mainline until the cut-off via Lea Marston was constructed to aid faster journey times :)
