Trainline to be investigated for not including fees in prices

They launched online ticket purchasing before any TOC did so this doesn’t really make sense

Stations rebranded to Great British Railways design / Rail Alphabet 2 & 3

RA3 is a new font and there are various other differences on the signs at Cambridge South too (symbols in boxes, different symbols, thicker arrows, one arrow per line à la RA1 signs rather than one arrow per group with RA2 signs). This come up on a quick search but I’ve read other posts about...

Paddington was meant to be the first station done to coincide with the Elizabeth line opening as it had to be added to the signs. But never happened & LIZ was added to the old signs. Maybe it will be the first station to be done properly. (Source: linked from post 1 in this thread in 2020!)

They're done by the TOCs currently and each of them have different approaches, despite many now being under DfT. This should be resolved for good when the full GBR is up and running (you would think at least). These are rapidly disappearing already.

Great British Railways: Station identity and livery unveiling (09/12/25)

Just took this pic of a Fuxing Smart train in China. If someone could kindly replace the Chinese (almost German) flag colours with those of the Union flag, I’d be interested to see what it looks like.

Project Oval: TfL win DfT contract to expand contactless system to 233 rail stations by May 2024, Railcards coming to contactless payment cards

My friend who inadvertently used contactless to Stansted showed the "Google AI Overview" which said contactless is valid to Stansted and wasn't penalty fared as it's a "known issue"
