I was booking a journey which involved "CrossCountry only" Advance tickets between Birmingham New St - Wolverhampton and Banbury - Leamington Spa, but it would only sell paper tickets for those legs, not e-tickets.
Would someone be able to look into these ticket flows and mark them as...
There seem to be a few cancellations on the Manchester - Bournemouth route too. Eg the 1645 and 1745 from Bournemouth today. Are the drivers for these based at New St?
There have been quite a few CrossCountry trains cancelled either throughout or for part of their journey over the past few days which has been attributed to a "shortage of train drivers". Do we know how long this is likely to last? I can't see anything on their website, just whatever comes up on...
I travelled with GWR from London to Exeter over Christmas. I travelled on the Exeter stopping service on the way down which was a 9 car and almost full, and a Penzance service on the way back, which was again a 9 car throughout and while not full, was busy. Both services would have easily been...
Is it possible to claim delay repay if I use multiple tickets to double back or travel on an invalid route, if the standard minimum connection times are adhered to?
Example - Reading to Pinhoe via Exeter.
Travelling on a Reading - Exeter ticket and a Exeter to Pinhoe ticket. If the Reading -...
Thanks, it was advertised as a Bristol terminator, it was only the onboard systems which weren't updated. GWR staff were very helpful at Exeter where I boarded.
Was on the 07:48 Paignton - Paddington this morning but we terminated at Bristol TM due to a "train fault". Anyone know what the problem was? Seemed to be running OK. Automated announcements onboard and reservations were still showing as running to Paddington and coach order on station PIS was...
Further to this, is it valid to use a non reservable service if your advance ticket specifies a reservable service?
This would be the same route, just if a non reservable service arrived first when you were changing trains and it was quicker to do so.
This appears to be because Trainsplit is showing an itinerary using Crosscountry trains only, so is showing an XC only fare which is cheaper.
Most booking sites will show the first connecting train after allowing the minimum connecting time. In this case from Birmingham it is the 1153 VTWC...
Does anyone know why some of the GWR services from Reading to the South West have been retimed slightly? Eg the 1533 service from Reading to Penzance will now depart from Reading at 1530 after the May timetable change. This happens also with the 1633 (retimed to 1630). They appear to leave...
