I don't know how you'd feel about using a bus, but there's a direct one between Kilburn High Road and Paddington. Route 16. The bus stop is on the same side of the road as Kilburn High Road station, and it terminates at Paddington.
For the walk from Kilburn High Road to Kilburn Park, you need...
If I'm travelling alone, I tend to pick an airline seat and leave tables/bays of 4 seats for larger groups (even if the train is likely to be quiet), both so that it's more convenient for them and so that I don't end up with people that know each other joining me at a table and chatting away...
Didn't the previous pay deal that was agreed work out as varying percentages for different grades?
If the same percentage is given to CSA, CSS, T/Op etc every single year, the gap will continue to widen between them. Personally I don't have a problem if those on the lowest salary are getting an...
I seem to remember that towards the end of last year, they changed the initial CSA training course, so that all new joiners receive training up to CSA1 as part of the initial training. So you'd still start off in a CSA2 role, but it does mean you'd be able to pick up CSA1 duties on overtime (and...
Overtime is time and a quarter, no matter the day. There's nothing additional for weekends or bank holidays.
You need to pass your probation (six months), before applying for anything else, but progression is good. They've now moved to a model where there's a recruitment window for supervisor...
You should be able to find copies of rosters and duty books for all depots on Sharepoint. Search something like 'duty schedules', that works for me.
Saturday and Sunday duties tend to be nearer the maximum duty length, so that they need less drivers working, and also they'll have less trains as...
In my training group of 10, two got allocated to Morden and it does seem to be a depot that constantly has a couple of trainees on the go right now.
The odd person does withdraw from the training if they're finding the role isn't for them, but the people who allocate depots to new trainees do...
These are tips you might already have heard from other people, but for error identification, work from right to left on each question as each button (or signal lever or whatever it is) can be overridden by a following one in the sequence.
For following and understating information, I was...
I would think that the company would aim to keep at least one of Hampstead or Belsize Park open owing to proximity to the Royal Free Hospital and ensuring that key workers can get there. Of the two, Belsize Park has higher passenger figures. As has been said, I don't think lifts or no lifts are...
Thanks for the reply. Do you think it's something that Wightlink would question if I try and catch a ferry a few hours before my train is due to leave Havant?
Hi all,
I'm looking to make a journey from Sandown (Isle of Wight) to Waterloo on 1st March, but between getting the ferry over and then getting the train to London, I'm hoping to spend a few hours in Portsmouth with a friend. My query (as I'm still not clear on the matter after checking the...
Any journeys made before the railcard is added will remain at the standard adult rate but I would expect that if you have yet to reach the reduced cap at the time the railcard is added, the system should then be clever enough to give you the reduced cap once you do then reach it.
