Our new ticketing site is now live! Using either this or the original site (both powered by TrainSplit) helps support the running of the forum with every ticket purchase! Find out more and ask any questions/give us feedback in this thread!
The payment is only pending in your account, if the ticket is not collected then it gets refunded to your account as it’s assumed the ticket was unused, not nonsense at all, I deal with them everyday at work and have seen the back office for TODs and like many pending amounts, you can have £5 in...
Moderator note: Split from https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/sjpn-issued-merseyrail.223712/
*if the ticket was one that needed collection via a collection code then this would make no difference as you can buy one with a virtually empty bank account and payment is only taken once printed...
Guys it’s not a penalty, it’s a settlement figure, if the OP wants to contest it it would most likely be through the courts at OP cost with good change of losing
Good luck mate, make sure to listen to and read what the test is asking and you’ll be fine, don’t over complicate and make sure you do the practise material, it’s what I found worked best and passed without any problems
I’m wondering if there’s more to this story, as I’m wondering why it was a bylaw offence rather than being issued with a penalty fare if it was as simple as not having a ticket
Have you ever been issued a penalty fare before? Southeastern have a policy that after 2 penalty fares in a 12 month period means that if stopped again you would be issued with a byelaw rather than penalty fare. As for the machine not accepting youre note did you have any alternative means to...
I can definitely see them going with regulations of railway, for the facts they’ve admitted to short faring and travelling on child tickets, especially that it’s numerous times, the proof is in the pudding here
The interview would have been a PACE interview so is no different to a police one, so unfortunately what you say during that will be used, again in the caution “anything you do say may be given in evidence” your time to admit it would have been during the interview.
100% mate, I done it October 2020 but failed the VSE when it was new and the assessors couldn’t even tell me how it works as it was still relatively new, April this year I re done only the VSE, went on to SJE and MMI and passed. August 27th I had my DMI and I start in January
Unfortunately the caution has it all”you do not have to say anything but it may harm your defence” and by saying no comment you’ve done exactly that, harmed your defence. From what I’ve seen when people say no comment it requires extra work and investigating to be done and the prosecutors will...
Southeastern require shunter drivers to achieve national standard including MMI. Then go on to depot manager interview. So I imagine failing psychometrics twice previously means you cannot apply for this
