Oban has been short staffed since the start. They had Glasgow, Inverness and Aberdeen drivers in hotels there 2 weeks ago working from Oban to cover duties.

Stagecoach Yorkshire cease NX ops from 17th Oct. Bruce Coaches take over a 131 diagram from 13th July which is currently operated by them. (0930 ex Birmingham and 1430(?) return). There’s a strong rumour that Go North East are next for the cull with NX as they aren’t happy with the GoAhead...

It’s worth noting that from last week it’s now the first 8 rows that are reservable up from the first 5. Seat number stickers and headrests are in the post so they may not be on yet. Rumour has it the whole coach is reservable from January if this “trial” is a success.

The tender to operate the forecourt was lost to Transdev back then. Part of the reason the Sipson Rd site was only leased to Transdev was in case they won it back in 2024 (they didn’t and it was sold to Transdev).

Prior to 2018/2019 it was a manned site by NX so no sales were permitted and then it was written into the contract when NX lost the tender to Transdev (at NX’s loss!)

The 3 73 plates are expected to head to Scotland to Bruce Coaches to replace the 3 21 plates.
