I think the information about Cross Country is to make it clear that journeys via Moorthorpe aren't allowed. Similarly, I don't imagine it'd be strictly valid on the 'Yorkshire Flyer', but as it's Northern you might get away with it. (I'd be reluctant to test it though.)

The terms and conditions of the family ticket are a bit vague.
I wonder if it would be valid for just two adults with no children.

If you feel comfortable about using your mobile phone to buy tickets, Bus and Train DaySaver tickets can be bought on the MCard Mobile app.

My final update on this.
Following my letter, I got an email within 10 days apologising for the inconvenience caused by the rejection of my initial delay repay claim.
It has now been approved with a generous number of complimentary Northern return tickets as compensation.
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
