    What I said ! As of Dec 11th LM will be running trains formed of 2 x 2 car 170's on the Birmingham New St to Rugeley TV route ! And as all station platforms between Walsall & Rugeley can only accommodate 3 coaches LM have erected SDO (selective door operation) boards at all stns !

    Regarding 153's on the Salop & Chase lines The line speed on the wolves to Salop road is only 70mph and 75mph between wolves & new St so there is no problem with the 153 + 170 combinations And the SDO boards that have been installed on the Chase line stations are due to 2x 170's being diagrammed...

    As from the December timetable LM 153's will be used attached to a 170 on most Shrewsbury to New St services to provide more capacity as these services were reduced from 3 to 2 car trains whilst LM were short of stock awaiting the 172's during the last 2 years
