A Spar has opened a few months back, approx 2mins walk from the station if that, just through the entrance to the old courts where the bus stops are. It has a far better, and cheaper, selection of goods!

Story’s getting the front side of the works makes sense as they’re just coming to the end of the project coming out of the Station at the Courts which involves the main junction being remodelled and various lights, new bus lanes, cycle paths etc.

Saw this service on RTT today, so took the dog for a walk to see it pass through Wetheral, was a tad surprised to see this was a TransPenine Express train?
Any ideas why it would run under a 3Q headcode? I was always under the belief that these are test trains!

The demolition of the old pools at the back of the station is due to start today, the Council have emphasised that the adjacent Turkish Baths will be protected, and will take approximately six weeks.
