I was told the assessments were valid for two years and my MMI is passed that now so I assume my application has been binned.

I got all the way through the process over 2 years ago and am still waiting. They said there will be nothing for us in 2019 so I'd look elsewhere.

You can enter a subject access request for any notes they made about you during the interview.

Ashford depot with TL. Just because a TOC has advertised for drivers doesn't necessarily mean there are vacancies or they are ready to begin training.

Second this. *IF* I ever get called up it will be at least 3 years since passing the initial assessments.

At mine all the men had worn suits and ties. The assessor said he appreciated the effort but to get comfortable and take off our ties if we wanted to - which we all promptly did.

Safety first. Even if it means a train is late or cancelled or you get a rollicking from your depot manager.

I have seen a lot of posts that GTR training isn't happening in 2019 for many depots (I was waiting for Ashford and have been told it's not happening this year). Which depot are you waiting for?

I will keep an eye out and hope something else comes up before my psychometrics run out.

I was only told about Ashford because I called recruitment. We haven't been sent an email or anything confirming but I'm just going to move on now.

After about 20 months in the talent pool I got told today Thameslink Ashford don't need any new trainees for a very long time. Gutted to get right to the end and not have an offer.

I just spoke to recruitment and they said Ashford is over-established and they won't need any trainees for 'a very long time'. I was too shell-shocked to ask for anymore info but that's what I was told. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

After being in the talent pool for ~ 20 months I'd just like to drive a train at this point!
