TIR - failure to provide alternative format

I don't follow. You say you obtained the TIR "legally" but that you didn't break any bylaws. So are you saying you didn't evade any fares or otherwise act irregularly? If so then you have nothing else to worry about. If you did evade fares (etc) then just pay what you owe and move on.

TIR - failure to provide alternative format

The equality act only applies if the request is reasonable. It's difficult to see how a tir could practically be supplied in Braille. Another solution such as asking someone else to read it to you would be simpler. You need to deal with this otherwise I fear a single justice procedure heading...

    SWR Letter for Prosecution

I'm not completely clear. Is this a return journey you are talking about? Or a single? Please say exactly what tickets or cards you held for the journeys.

England – GWR settlement offer for travelling with the wrong Railcard discount (genuine mistake)

As far as I can see you have no grounds for any appeal. You had an invalid ticket and that's the end of the matter. You are best advised to just pay up

GWR Pre-Court Settlement (£1,762) – Railcard lapse + long delay, need advice on settlement/hardship

I think you need to be careful. This is not a boundary despute between neighbours. It is you, a (presumably) amateur lawyer and the full weight of the GWR professional legal team. Although a win is possible, you are starting from a significant disadvantage and the cards will be stacked against you.

Is it right that being able to afford a solicitor seems to improve the chances of avoiding prosecution?

So it's not using ai per se, that's ok. It more that you should make sure you are telling the truth and not inventing things. That sounds normal to me

Is it right that being able to afford a solicitor seems to improve the chances of avoiding prosecution?

This is just life. Those who can afford it can always get something better. Better house, better car, more expensive foods or travel first class on the train. And when you are in court, some people can afford more expensive lawyers that genuinely get better outcomes. Its what our whole political...

Penalty fare: website crashes after attempt to pay (19yo)

So your final appeal needs to focus on the fact that you did actually pay but that the website froze. The third appeal is looked at by an independent panel so has a much better chance of succeeding

Penalty fare: website crashes after attempt to pay (19yo)

I don't understand all the posts about disability. You said right up front that you couldn't show a ticket because the website froze. So itc would be wrong to now suggest that the lack of ticket was somehow due to being disabled. 1780040888 Benefits for disabled people are given for two...

    Penalty fare

Im not sure that's right. In the same way that a passenger might refuse to accept a penalty fare notice or just tears it up and throws it on the floor. In both of those cases the penalty fare would be enforced and the difference between that and just walking away while the notice was being...

    Penalty fare

Did you just walk away or did he tell you to go? If you just "got off' without waiting then you are still liable. If, however, he told you to go, then you would have an appeal.

    The future of cash

Maybe not true for your barber but whenever I see "cash only" I immediately suspect money laundering. Like many high streets, our town is riddled with very many barber shops, all brand new and shiny and all "cash only".

    LMS-owned canals

I actually live in the engine mans cottage at Charlton on the Bridgwater and Taunton and I like to think that my cottage was once owned by the GWR. Indeed we have a gwr style pw hut in our garden that was used by the lengthmen maintaining the canal.

    Football

I keep on hearing this time and time again. We won the world cup in 1966 which was 60 years ago and haven't won it since. However England were world champions until 1970 when they were removed. The "years of hurt" didn't start until 1970. So this year is only 56 years of hurt. It's really...
