So if my ticket is actually valid on Southern and I decide to chance it on a day when there hasn't been a cancellation what's the impact.
Worst case would I receive a PF that I'd then need to appeal on the basis its the same TOC. Is it still the view that all such appeals would be successful...
Great thanks.
Why don't they include that in the automated announcements anytime a train is cancelled. Or at least have it on posters around the stations?
Is there a published policy or website link that shows you can use the next DfTO service if your train is cancelled?
That solves all my problems. I've wasted so much time standing on the platform at gatwick unnecessarily if that is the case!
I travel from Preston Park to Gatwick using a Thameslink Brighton-Gatwick return ticket.
Frequently on my return trip there's a painful period where the 15 past thameslink is cancelled and I often face a 30 minute wait for the next Thameslink service.
In those scenarios, can I pay an excess and...
I reported this to LNER and its still not fixed a week later with no trains shown apart from the odd random one on certain dates.
Insane that people will be told no tickets are available or will end up buying two tickets for their journey and paying more than they need to. Surely it should...
In the morning peak in summer there are endless tourists with cases who struggle to get onto Thameslink services coming up from Brighton that are already full and standing. The moment there is any disruption or a cancelled train it is even worse.
How do they propose handling the huge increase...
Just about every app selling railcards doesn’t comply with the policy that railcards must always be available even with no connection.
They have frequently updated themselves requiring you to sign in again.
How about allowing railcards to be added to apple wallets so people would know how to...
National rail and LNER sites are both refusing to give me any tickets from Brighton to York tomorrow. What is causing this?? Is it a temporary glitch or will I need to buy two separate tickets?
Perhaps if the apps made this more visible to people then it wouldn’t be such a proglem
The Trainline never emailed me about my railcard expiry and trying to display your railcard in some of these apps takes a ridiculous amount of menu navigation
They could easily put a banner at the top...
Some TOC’s send out vouchers from customer services in response to complaints or complicated delay repay messages that can’t be handled online.
I certainly never requested a voucher from cross country and ended up watching it expire as I didn’t want to go to a ticket office an hour before...
The last time I tried to use a voucher at a ticket office I was told they did them so rarely they would have to remember how to do them, their bar code scanner didn’t work so everything had to be typed in, and I’d miss my train if I insisted on using the RTV
They should be phased out and TOC’s...
I thought the RDG mandated that railcard apps should display the railcard without requiring internet access.
It’s time they banned companies who don’t comply from selling railcards.
I’ve also experienced the trainline app forcing you to sign in again when it has updated meaning you can’t...
It’s also impossible to buy a ticket for the bus journey from Three Bridges to Preston Park
Even more amusingly there are buses running from three bridges to Brighton they are just not telling people about them
