Hi appears this isn't a trainee role as job description states you must be able to carry out train driving duties in the 'about you' section of the advert.

As above does this role count as one of your two lives for assessments?

So if you fail the assessment in say January and then apply for a new job in May would you be excluded even though the application sift etc may take you past the 6 month period for a new assessment?

Been keeping my eye on the external jobs list for signallers for some months now. Have been regular jobs coming up but none in the north west. I just wondered if any current signallers know by comparison if any north west jobs had been on the internal list over the same time period.

Does anyone know what a static shunter means? Thanks

New to the forum - it's a great source of info. Probably answering my own question here but I guess you can't take the train driver assessment privately within 6 months of failing, like the TOC's rules?
