Does anyone know how long the assessment day lasts? I know on the email it says the tests take around 3 hours but not sure if there will be anything else to do on the day.

That's not the case, VTEC advised that the first wave of trainees at least would initially be trained on the existing fleet, then move onto Azuma. Also, trainees are indeed replacing retiring drivers, as well as expansion of course.

Haha same! I thought the dates were starting to filter through. Nothing on the medical date still, so must be going to give us start dates with medicals to follow and hope we pass. Seems like years since the psychometrics!

In the same boat too, it's a painful wait - hoping it's not too long but they said on the Keep in Touch event that they didn't want to give us our medicals too early, I guess so were not eating into the validity when our start date may not be til next year. I've only checking my emails 3 times...

I'm hoping for Newcastle, although seem to be quite far down the list I think. Speaking with others at the event the other week it appears there's quite a few already done medicals and waiting for a course date. Could be a long wait, but be more than worth it in the end

Hi all, I have my psychometrics in a couple of weeks and was wondering about dress code. I'd err on the side of caution and go fully suited and booted, as with the assessment, particularly with the possibility of reaching the interview stage. Just curious as to how others have approached it...

I'm the same too. They said they'd let me know shortly in the initial email but nothing since. I haven't chased them up, don't want to bother them as they're clearly busy, just sitting tight waiting and checking emails hourly! It's a bit of a concern though, that the dates that were offered on...

I remember at least one date towards the end of Jan appear on the sheet, along with quite a few consecutive days in early Feb, so think we may be approaching the end stages of that list. I was fortunately able to tick all the boxes as could have made myself available for any, so thought maybe...

Just to clarify, the reaction test with coloured buttons, Hi lo sound etc is no longer used? I've done similar testing but not train driver psychometrics, so in the queue for a date coming up.
