Interesting to see two separate manufacturers offering an electric conversion for the Streetdeck - I wonder if any will offer a conversion for the E400 (surely must be many more E400s than Streetdecks in service?)
To be honest I'd prefer if Chinese manufacturers were to build an assembly facility in the UK, or at least Europe, but I agree with @Blindtraveler in that I'd rather have a foreign-made quality vehicle than a British-made lightweight with barely any suspension and rattles on every bump.
Obviously none of us have had any experience on the E200EV as it's not been built yet, but I can say from a passenger point of view, Yutong buses are probably the best currently available. Add the (presumably competitive) price and excellent aftersales support, and it should make sense!
Volvo B7TL, of any bodywork really. Plenty still going strong with major operators and independents, most of the independent operators in my area seem to have opted for ex-Dublin bus ALX400s.
Arriva in Durham had a 51-plate B7TL with Gemini bodywork until late last year, from many journeys on...
