XC were most apologetic and explained clearly and eloquently to the event organisers why they cannot resource having a powercar away from their home patch over the whole Bank Holiday weekend. Had they had the spare capacity then they would have supported the event. How about we drop the XC...

Nothing sinister. Material supply/logistics/time issue. The plain blue coaches will get their dynamic lines when they next stop for exam.

But not neccessarily in green. There's another set due out of Kilmarnock next week and I've not seen much evidence of green pigment in the paint. Nor for that matter have any of the other repaints which have come out by road each Friday been green.

If your journey times fit with Hull Trains times then they do some Hull Trains only seasons from Grantham. No need to worry if they have a cancelled train I believe as in that case you'd be allowed travel on East Coast.
