A Bus? EMT mainline from Sheffield is OK as you will board at the origin and most likely get a seat, XC from York could well be packed on arrival at York....my vote EMT

Don't the trains in the Sheffield direction in the main continue to Meadowhall, Rotherham, Doncaster and Ardwick? They are therefore not just a short shuttle service? Can't see with so much notice why they can't get trains positioned to run services both side of the blockage width just a short...
