Happens all the time, I see it everyday one way or another.

My understanding is anyone under 16, the parents deal with it. Correspondence is sent to Parents / Guardian of the person concerned.

Flash your pass to most guards before boarding you shouldn't have a problem.

So...? Scenario A "It was open, I was closing it" "Ok thanks!" Scenario B "It was open, I was closing it" "I am calling the police" Really? As a guard myself, I know which scenario would suit me.

If you notify the conductor they would likely be grateful for the heads up and a little embarassed ha. I cant see any harm in closing the flap if it was open (front unit for example) if the guard was not around.

I used a 2 for 1 recently in London and they didn't even ask to see the tickets.

(Northern guard) We were originally advised they were only valid with the receipt as we previously had no other way of authenticating them. We have now however been given an app on our company phones which can apparently read the card, but I have not had an oppurtunity to hse this though...

Its a company of 'questionable' characters anyway so this doesn't surprise me. One flew past me in Wigan a few weeks ago doing about 50 in a 30 with music blaring.
