Just been looking at the changes for East Linton and Dunbar. The increased TPE services are welcome but what’s the point in the ScotRail services when all they do is follow less than 10 mins behind the TPE services? Why can’t they run in the alternate hours that the TPE services don’t.
Example...
Did they have any form of queue separation by destination? I’m often impressed by how they manage the people at Haymarket after a large event has ended at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh.
Only one ScotRail Dunbar service per day which means East Linton only has its six TPE services per day (to Edinburgh) with some huge gaps. Not ideal at all.

I did use a TPE to get home one...
The TPE 802s appear to all be being named after castles. For example 802210 was named Hailes Castle at the opening of East Linton station last week and I’ve seen others. Does anyone have a list of the current names on each unit?
802210 named Hailes Castle to celebrate opening of station.

The first train will actually be the 1039 to Dunbar (1010 from Edinburgh) though or so I’m led to believe.
Full timetable from the...
Aren't there fewer trains on the first day?
Is it because there is some kind of event for the opening of the station to meet the first Edinburgh bound train?
