Ticket Pricing query (Barrow to Helsby)

I have been looking at tickets from Barrow-in-Fruness, Cumbria to Helsby, Cheshire. The route generally is BiF to Lancaster/Preston on Transpennine, Virgin to Warrington and Arriva Wales to Helsby. Travelling from Barrow to Helsby I have found fares for £6.50 travelling after 6pm booking...
