That was quite amusing from on-board. We'd just passed East Croydon then stopped very suddenly. Turned out the driver realised we wouldn't fit on the original route so we were towed backed to East Croydon by the 37 on the back then continued on about 30 mins late.

It's not doing that route anymore as they couldn't get the paths. I have a booking on it and got a letter saying the route changed.

Arrived at Farringdon at about 5.30 just as the dead train and it's rescue were changing power. Was a bit odd to see so much 319 heading northwards - all 16 cars of it. Got on the second train through which thankfully started at Black friars and so wasn't rammed on arrival.
The problem is that the world ran out of common sense about the same time the internet became popular. I took my bike on TL twice yesterday with no problems at all... I even used the allocated cycle area! So I shouldn't have been allowed to use the train to go cycling in Surrey on a sunny day...

A driver today did a good deed for which I am extremely grateful. I have no idea who they were but I wish to repay them for their deed with a donation to a charity which supports drivers or railway staff in general. Any suggestions would be welcome and appreciated.

Friday they were running the trains into one platform, then out of the other, presumably turning them in the tunnel towards Farringdon. They were also using upstairs as well so that's an extra platform or two.
So why such a naff service today???? Even the driver on my train said 'Oh dear heres...
