When I did my induction I took the letter of authority and the contract with me. So when you show a member of staff at Gillingham station a letter that clearly says "Trainee Train Driver - Gillingham" they'll open the gates without question trust me! If they start asking questions just explain...

Hi mate, the hours at Cannon Street are 9-4....but some days you'll finish earlier, some days later....youll have a general corporate induction Mon - Thursday at Kentish Town... Then on the Friday you'll have an induction at Cannon Street, this is basically putting names to faces, what to expect...

Everything just got very real, very fast.... Contract is through, notice at work handed in same day.....That feeling of "Oh sh*t this is actually happening" is really starting to sink in now, absolutely buzzing!

How soon after the medical did you guys get a contract through? Or hear anything as such?

Got the call today to say I passed my MMI! Over the moon! Just waiting to hear back on a date for the medical, but providing that goes well I'll be starting on the 14th November (I think that's the date she said on the phone, tbh I was going a bit crazy with joy)

I've got my MMI tomorrow up Croydon, fingers crossed it all goes well!

I had my interview on the 9th August and haven't heard anything yet. I did ask on the day, and they couldn't give me an exact timeframe of when I would hear anything.....they just said it could take a couple of weeks

Yeah there's a serious amount of material to go through! Some of the tests on the day are computer based so I'd recommend getting your hands on some of the practice software if you can mate.... Its the closest thing you'll get to the actual tests and 100% worth it
