Not sure this has been posted here yet; Transdev Keighley have announced changes from 21st May.
The rumoured changes to the 64 (Ilkley-Skipton) and 72 (Grassington-Skipton) are correct; both reduced to around every two hours. Minor changes to 62, 67, K9 and Dalesway also...
The Zap's an interesting one. I've never really understood who their target market was.
Assuming that they were aiming to attract people from rail; it was never going to be able to compete on speed / journey time or on frequency. Initially it maybe was able to compete on cost, but it's now £12...
One that caught me out this morning - from 10th April CityZap Leeds - York has gone hourly, vice the standard half-hourly timetable.
Transdev stating that "many of our routes have shown a good level of recovery since the extended lockdown periods, however the return of customers back to...

Details above, location was Dalton Airfield - not too far from Thirsk.
The coaches shown in the film & link are long gone, however.
Not as weird as when it used to be Selby - Wakefield Westgate, during the Northern Rail era. Again, perhaps not long-distance, but I think it was about 2 and half hours end to end. Was routed Selby-Leeds-Bradford Interchange (reverse)-Halifax-Huddersfield (reverse)-Wakefield Kirkgate...
All 10 have the same interior.
Even before the sets were refurbished (with 5 in ex-GW condition and the other 5 in ex-GC / FGW condition) there were very few major interior differences - and no differences between seat layout, seat positioning etc.
Planned to have a multi-system electric loco, not a bi-mode i'm afraid.
Presume it'll be dragged by a 218 or 245 off the wires, bit like current IC services.
Good shout re the Alex 223's.
Also the Leipzig-Chemnitz MRB service runs with 223's, and I think the Hamburg-Cuxhaven service is still loco-hauled also with diesel Traxx locos.
There's also the DB 245's replacing / working alongside the 218's.
There's quite a few photos online of the loco.
Try searching for "Rylstone Quarry", "Rylstone Sidings", "Rylstone Tilcon".
Was built by RFS at Doncaster in the 90's I believe. In fact there's a scale model of the loco in one of the rooms at Doncaster Works (approx 50-60cm in length).
I'll...
Welcome to the forum.
Funnily enough I was looking at this earlier today. The way i've read it is that they've entirely given up with the original "fast" service from Middlesbrough to Newcastle via Stillington/ECML, and are instead looking to run 2tph via the Durham Coast; one stopper (ie the...
